Camiguin (My Mother Island)

I've been to this island 3 times and every time I go here it always excites me! All the islands in the Philippines has its own quality. Palawan is beautiful, Siargao is great, Cebu is amazing, Bohol is lovely, Batanes is unique but Camiguin is the best(For me ^_^). Sandbar, hot and cold springs, coral reefs, mountains, volcanoes, beach, water falls, sunset and sunrise, food, animals and great people! Lets start telling my story now.... hehe!

We took a plane from Manila to CDO (Laguindingan International Airport(LAI)). And then we went straight to Agora Market where you can ride a Bus or Van bound for Balingoan port. And then you need to ride a boat from Balingoan to Benoni port, Camiguin.
Haha!

When you're in Camiguin you can rent a motorcycle if you are familiar with the place or you can rent a pedicab(A small van and good for 5-8 persons).

Our first day is all about Swimming with a bit of history. Hot and cold Springs are every where in Camiguin.

Our first stop is Sto. NiƱo Cold Spring. We had our lunch there as well with their famous Abobong local chicken!!

And then we headed to Old Ruin Church. This Church is made out of corals and it was ruin because of an explosion of Mt. Hibuk-Hibuk many years ago.
We went to some of many Water falls of Camiguin that day as well.
Katibawasan Falls.(A 250 ft water falls)

Binangawan Falls

And then another cold springs. Haha! (Soda Cold water springs)

We went to an Ostrich Farm as well. Note: They are really huge and scary!!

Its just 3pm at that time and we went to a lot of places already. If you want vacation then this is not for you. Lol ^_^!!

And then here we are at the famous Sunken Cemetery.

Underneath this big cross is a cemetery sunk because of an earthquake.
Drew na Drew!!

There is a protected coral reefs underneath the sunken cemetery. Some of those reefs are tombs of a dead man (scary...)

After a long and really tiring day. We had our relaxation at last!! Welcome to Ardent Hot Springs. Our exhausted body rejuvenated because of the hot and clean water soaking to our body.(I can still remember the feeling of soaking on this hot spring until now) ^_^

Our second day is all about beaches!!!

White Island

While we are trying to catch those birds!!

At this moment. I am literally "One man in an island". hahaha!
I guess you know why this is called white island.. Hehe! There are two sandbars in the morning, they become one in the afternoon and it disappear at night(Magic of Nature).
After White Island we went straight to Mantigue Island

Inside of Mantigue Island is a protected forest. There are some trees that has its name branded on it. You can feel the serenity inside of this forest since you can only hear is yourself and other animals (If you are alone).

At my back is the Camiguin Island and the great Mt. Hibuk-Hibuk.
One thing I can say about Mantigue Island, SIESTA!!! You can order fresh sea foods and they will cook it for you. You can do Kayaking as well, but unfortunately for us. The waves are too high. Sooo what we did after our delicious lunch. SIESTA!! Of course (lol). There are some hammocks(duyan) where you can just lie down and feel the breeze of the salty wind coming from the north. The only thing that is not ok with me is they dont allow you to do overnight stay in Mantigue. WHY????? Tent with bonfire under the stars would be great right? #sadlife T_T
A lighthouse that is under construction in Mantigue Island.

Network connection here is very weak. And when there is a free wifi in a coffee shop? Its IG time!!! lol

The best time for our two ladies (Eating!!!) hahaha
And thats how we ended our trip in Camiguin. For 3 days and 2 nights inluding airfare our damage is around P5,000 each. Its pretty good to me!

We went back to CDO the next day and we have our White water rafting. That would be my next blog. Just wait for it and keep in touch!!
