Mt. Irid (A 15 hour Dayhike!)

Highest point of Rizal.

I was just a joiner in an event where all of us dont have any idea what we will experience. All hail to Michell Cajayon-wearing a black cap in the middle(Event Coordinator) hahahaha!

First we ride a monster jeep to cross 9 rivers in 2 hrs of travel time(I dont have pictures because im busy sleeping (lol)). And then we need to cross 11 rivers by foot. The 1st 2 hrs is just walk. No assault at all. It's kinda sleepy and boring. But after that it was a 5 hrs assault non stop.

We Have some coffee and stretching first.

Two beautiful and strong ladies. Kat and Angel.

And we started the hardest climb of my life so far. Hahaha!
Drew na Drew!! ^_^

Few of the 11 Crossings we made.

After 2 hours of pure walk. We can see the summit already. 5 hours to go!!

Her name is Alyssa. She is 18 yrs old and a college student. She is doing this every weekend for a LIVING... #respect

The summit is astonishing! The view?? I felt like Im one of the cast of Lord of the Rings. LOL

After 7 hours of walk we reached the summit and all I can say is "Damn!! It's all worth it!!". We dont have much of time to rest. All we did is take pictures and we need to go down since its already 4pm at that time. We still have 7 hours of back-trail to walk.

We started at 7 in the morning and we ended up at 10pm in the evening. Thats what you call HARKOR!! To be honest I'm not gonna do it again. Ill climb this mountain in an overnight event. But the experienced is all worth it!!
